Thank you for reading about my little studio nestled on Red Mountain. I’m Jennifer.. I have been working as a Therapist in the Spa & Wellness industry since 2003. Initially, I began my career as an Esthetician. Later, I attended the Red Mountain Institute to become a Neuromuscular Massage Therapist. As a Massage Therapist, I now have a focus on Myofascial Release Therapy, a dry therapy that helps to release long-held tension (fascial restrictions) in the body. Having had back surgery at age 17, I’m also very familiar with addressing sciatic nerve issues. I have extensive training in Myofascial Release Therapy, Neuromuscular Therapy, Orthopedic Therapy, Chinese Fire Cupping, as well as Feldenkrais techniques.
Working in a spa atmosphere for 12 years taught me the importance of allowing yourself a bit of regular down-time! Just an hour or two of relaxation calms your Central Nervous System, promotes more restful sleep, and helps level out ‘stress’ hormones. Giving yourself a temporary break from the stress of everyday life is beneficial for your body, as well as your mind.. You need to ‘check in’ with your body on a regular basis for preventative care.
